Mixed Cart Orders – Yay ✅ or Nay ❌?
With PreOrder Now, customers can check out with both preorder and in-stock items, but how do you handle shipping? 📦 Ship separately – In-stock items ship right away, preorder items later. Message: "Some items in your order are available now, while others are on preorder. We’ll ship the available items first and the rest as soon as they’re ready." ✔️ Pros: Faster shipping, clear expectations ⚠️ Cons: May incur additional shipping fees, complex fulfillment 📦 Ship together – Wait until all items are ready and ship together. Message: "Your order includes a preorder item, so we’ll ship everything together once all items are ready to go. This helps us reduce packaging waste and save you an extra shipping fee. Have the feature to enable the preorder based on the inventory location. We have different inventory locations like the US and the UK. If the US inventory is 0, the preorder should be enabled for the US.
